I am completely in love with maternity photography. It is such a short time in your life where your body changes on a near daily basis. One of my biggest regrets of both of my pregnancies is that I only have i-phone photographs of my bumps. My body grew two babies and that deserved more than a few half hearted selfies. I think this is why I am absolutely passionate about documenting the peoples pregnancies. I shoot in the same way that I would have wanted; timeless, creative and natural.
Suzanna was on exactly the same page as me and it was a pleasure to meet up when she was 39 weeks pregnant in Sefton Park to catch some early evening sun. Her husband and little girl dropped her off and I couldn’t resist getting some last pictures of them as a three. Little Beatrice was absolutely adorable!
We had a lovely wander around the park looking for some lovely light and talking all things baby. Suzanna was just so chilled and radiant and so looking forward to their baby arriving. They decided not to find out the sex and throughout the shoot I kept referring to the baby as “him” and I was right! (ok, I know the odds were 50% in my favour but still!) Little Oliver was born yesterday and he is just beautiful. I am always in awe every time I see a picture of the newborn and think how amazing that just a week before they were a beautiful bump!
