What a day we had at Emma and Matt’s beautifully colourful Eccleston Village Hall Wedding. Given that we were predicted torrential rain all day I think we did pretty well! Not that rain was going to spoil anything for Emma and Matt. They were well prepared with big umbrellas, wellies and a positive attitude. The piece of advice I give to my couples is to embrace the weather you get. It’s out of our control so the key is to come prepared, and go with it and embrace the positives that all weather conditions bring. You don’t get puddles that give you reflections like the photograph above without a healthy downpour!

There were so many highlights from this wedding but I think that the one that will stay with me forever was Emma’s Dad’s reaction to seeing her in her wedding dress for the first time. Emma had said to me earlier not to expect a reaction so I wasn’t prepared for the absolutely HUGE reaction. It honestly took my breath away. It was so emotional, so heartfelt and sincere and it blows me away at how generous my couples are to allow me to be present to document such personal moments.

Emma and Matt are just the loveliest couple. They have been together for 10 years and just wanted their friends and family to have the best time. The Ceilidh they had arranged was absolutely perfect and everyone got up and joined it, so much fun! They both love colour (perfect couple for me!) and invested so much time to decorate Eccleston Village Hall with bunting, ribbon and pom poms. That along with the long tables (genius idea to get everyone talking!) covered it the most gorgeous colourful flowers absolutely transformed the hall and it felt so inviting and relaxed. That pretty much sums up Emma and Matt though. They are just the loveliest couple and when they are together it just feels right. They were so warm that I feel like i’ve known them for years. I had such a lovely day with them and their lovely family and friends that I want to do it all again! Hugest congratulations Mr + Mrs T (and Daphne the cat!)

“Tears all round!-the pictures of my dad set me off!! I cannot thank you enough, the pictures are incredible! You have captured the happiness of the day completely (the ceilidh pictures are wonderful!) and there are so many beautiful pictures of our friends enjoying themselves – exactly what we wanted! I knew they’d be amazing but they are even better than I could have hoped for! Thank you so so much”
