Emily and Sam’s Greenheyes Farm wedding last month was number of firsts for me. It was the first time that I had ever shot a wedding on a real life working farm and the first time the bride and groom arrived together to greet their guests. I took full advantage and took some pre wedding portraits, another first!
The wedding was full of so many lovely personal touches that made it completely unique to Emily and Sam. My past bride, Wibke, is Emily’s dear friend and conducted their service. They share a love of baby wearing slings and Emily had very cleverly made her wedding bouquet and Sam’s button hole out of sling fabric, just lovely! Emily also made her beautiful yellow shawl which I was extremely envious of!
It was also the wedding of bubbles. My goodness, they were magnificent! I don’t think I was the only person a touch obsessed with them!
It was also a really special day for Emily’s little girl, Ellie, who was a complete star it has to be said. It was really heart warming to witness Ellie welcoming Sam into their little family of three, soon to be four. We had a lot of fun which mainly included Ellie pelting me with straw!
I think it’s clear to see the connection that Emily and Sam have. They were so at ease with each other and didn’t stop giggling! It was a real pleasure to be a part of your day, thank you so much for having me.
