Trish and Ish were married last month at the beautiful St Anthony of Padua in Mossley Hill with their reception at the Hope Street Hotel in Liverpool city centre.
Trish was recommended to me by the gorgeous Lin and Steph at Liverpool Bridal Boutique, on Rose Lane, where she found her dream dress. As you’ll see, Trish looked stunning and Ish absolutely agreed when he saw her walking down the aisle!
When I first met up with Trish and Ish they were keen to tell me that they really weren’t very good at having their picture taken and that they’d managed to have one or two nice ones taken in the years they’ve been together. I explained that my approach was very much seeing how they naturally interacted with each other and just to build on that. I can honestly say that these two are documentary photography GOLD! They are a proper double act full of fun and mischief and they spent the day teasing each other and laughing their heads off. Ish pretended to shun having his picture taken or public displays of affection but he loved it really and his massive grin couldn’t stay hidden! They compliment each other perfectly and it was such a pleasure to be welcomed by them from the instant that we met.
From attempting to photograph them through a window that we subsequently discovered was one way to discussion about hoovers to Trish’s love of the Rock (and subsequent re-naming of Ish to “the Pebble!”) their wedding was nothing short of fantastic. These two are the nicest people you could meet, I was in hysterics when Trish asked if she was being a diva for asking if she could have a picture with one of her friends. From there on I re-named her Mariah!
A special mention needs to go to Matilda. A budding photographer who was an expressive as her Aunty and number one twirler!
