When we went on holiday last month to the Beach Boat House in Llanbedrog I received SO many messages from people every time I posted a picture so I thought I’d do a blog about it. Anyone who follows me in instagram (@rachelryanphotography) knows that I am my happiest when I’m at the beach so when the beach boat house was recommended to me and I saw that it was actually nestled in the corner of Llanbedrog beach I had to book it. We knew it was going to be lovely but when we arrived we we blown away. I always say that when we go away in the UK I want where we stay to be nicer than own own home so you feel like you’re having proper treat! It definitely exceeded that expectation (which you can see on their website). My favourite things were the reclaimed wooden furniture, the outdoor hot shower for each cottage to wash away the sand (absolutely genius idea) but the balcony view overlooking the whole of the beach just felt a sanctuary after the madness of lockdown. I used to to sit there first thing in the morning with my cup of tea watching the sun come up and just felt to lucky to be there.
Needless to say my little ones had the time of their lives. They were in the sea from 8am every morning on their boogie boards and that was them happy for the day. The water was so shallow it felt really safe for them to play in it and have such much needed freedom after being confined to the house for so long. We were all just so content that we pretty much stayed on “our” beach for the whole week. It was exactly what we all needed.
The owner, Kevin, was so helpful from the start and especially through the pandemic when we weren’t sure if we’d be able to go. Our cottage was spotless and we felt really safe. I know that it is pretty booked up but if you find availability I couldn’t recommend it enough. (For clarity I paid full price for our holiday and wasn’t paid to post this!)
