Where do I even start with Gemma and Danny’s AMAZING vegan wedding at the Palm House, which is based in beautiful Sefton Park in South Liverpool and just so happens to be one of my favourite wedding venues to shoot at! On one of the hottest days of the year having an outdoor wedding was fantastic.
Gemma and Danny live in Dubai with their gorgeous little boy, Jack, but wanted to come home home to celebrate their wedding. They are people true to their beliefs and wanted their wedding to reflect them and do things their way. They are both vegans as was their wedding from the cake right down to their shoes! They also wanted a wedding ceremony that was deeply personal to them. Gemma walked down the aisle to a steel band playing Pacabel (it was incredible!) and opted to have a humanist ceremony by Lorraine Hull. It was one of the most personal ceremonies I have heard with both Gemma and Danny’s Mums writing poems as their readings. There was not a dry eye in the house.
Both Gemma and Danny wrote their own vows and what was absolutely clear was how much they valued kindness in each other. They are both the kindest people and so in love with each other and their gorgeous little boy. Their wedding, on the hottest day of the year, was the biggest celebration of this and them just loving life! It was a pleasure to document their day from start to finish.
