WHERE ARE YOU BASED?

I’m based in South Liverpool but cover weddings everywhere including Cheshire, Lancashire, Manchester and Shropshire and North Wales.

DO YOU TAKE GROUP SHOTS?

Absolutely.  I know that for most people it is not often you get an opportunity where you and your immediate family are altogether and get a chance to have a nice picture so your wedding is the perfect chance to get this.  Couples who book me really want my documentary style to capture the atmosphere of their wedding and would rather me spend 2 hours capturing you talking and laughing with your guests rather than spending that time having you hanging around standing in line having group shot after group shot.  For this reason I recommend group photos include your immediate family (parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, grandparents etc) and friends (bridesmaids, best man, ushers etc). I work quickly so that group pictures don’t take up too much of your day.

You and your guests can of course grab me throughout the day if there are any pictures with people that you’d like me to take informally just having a laugh!

DO YOU TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS OF WEDDING DETAILS?

Yes! I know how much hard work goes into planning weddings and making your wedding unique so I photograph as many of your details as I can without taking too much time away from you and your guests.  If there are any especially sentimental or important details in your wedding I ask that you tell me about them beforehand so that I can ensure that I capture them for you.

WHAT IF WE DON'T LIKE HAVING OUR PHOTO TAKEN?

I understand, I am not at my most comfortable in front of a camera! Most people aren’t used to being photographed so feeling a bit apprehensive is completely normal so please don’t worry. I like to meet with you about 4-6 weeks before your wedding so we can discuss what we’re going to do so you feel totally at ease on your wedding day. I’m very friendly and relaxed and I won’t ask you to do anything silly or anything that you feel uncomfortable with.  I will just chat with you, give some gentle direction and then let you do the rest.  It’s about capturing the two of you, as you are, and a chance to just enjoy the first dew moments of being newlyweds!

WHAT IF IT RAINS?

This is something that is beyond all of our control so the best plan is to go with it!  Get some big white umbrellas just in case so that we can pop out quickly when the rain eases.  It’s going to all form your wedding memories so get on board and just embrace it, we will get beautiful pictures come rain or shine!

CAN YOU DO A DIFFERENT EDIT STYLE FOR US?

I’m afraid not.  My style of photography and my style of editing both form the final product that I deliver and are both as important as each other.  I like a clean and vibrant edit that will not date so that you love your photographs as much in 10 years as you did when you got married.

CAN YOU PHOTOSHOP US?

No, you don’t need it!

SHOULD WE HAVE A SECOND SHOOTER?

It depends. If you would like both of your morning preparation documented then a second shooter is essential as I can only cover one of you getting ready.  Or if you have a larger wedding with over 100 daytime guests I would suggest that you consider having a second shooter so that more of your day can be documented. For especially large weddings with over 150 daytime guests or where there are really important parts of the wedding day happening simultaneously a second shooter will be a necessity.   I arrange all of my second shooters and only work with other experienced photographers who shoot their own weddings with a style and approach in keeping with mine.

WHAT IF YOU ARE UNWELL?

In the (very!) unlikely event that I am unwell on the day I have brilliant circle of other experienced photographers who have a similar style and  approach as me who I can call upon and vice versa. We are a lovely bunch and I trust them all implicitly!

HOW MANY PHOTOS DO WE GET?

As a minimum I say that you will receive 400 images. But if there are more to be had that pass my quality control I don’t hold any back!

WHO OWNS THE COPYRIGHT TO THE PHOTOS?

I do but please be assured that these are your wedding images and I provide them to you in both hi resolution size and social media size so that you are able to print them and put them on social media as you like. The copyright simply means that they can’t be re-edited or have filters added to them without my say so and that they can’t be used for commercial gain without having a chat to me first.

CAN WE ORDER PRINTS AND ALBUMS FROM YOU?

Yes you can! There is the facility to order professionally printed photographs through your online gallery.  This is available to you and anyone that you share your password with. I always recommend that images are professionally printed.  This is to guarantee the same colours, contrast and sharpness that you see on your screen are replicated in print that I am yet to find on the high street or online.I use a professional lab that I have all of my own own pictures printed by and they are able to offer me a really competitive rate so are a very worthwhile investment.

I also supply beautiful leather and vegan leather bound QT albums.  I design and order these albums in my quieter winter months so if you are interested in an album this is when you need to get in touch.

HOW DO WE BOOK?

To secure your date I will need you to pay a booking fee of £500 (which is deducted from your final balance) and return a signed copy of my wedding contract so we all know what’s what. Once I have those two things you will be in my diary!
