“I don’t even know where to begin when writing this review! Rachel is just incredible. We absolutely loved having her as our photographer as she made us feel so at ease and we had such a laugh! You can tell Rachel adores her job and she is an amazing artist. I would thoroughly recommend her to anyone, in fact we’ll be seeing her again soon at my friend’s wedding! We feel so lucky to have Rachel’s photographs as our memory of the best day ever. Thank you Rachel, you are awesome xxx”
Olivia and James were married a few weeks ago at Bishop Eton Church in Woolton followed by a reception at the gorgeous Racquet Club in Liverpool City Centre. Big thanks to Sue and the team for looking after us so well!
The wedding morning was so relaxed and full of laughter and this vibe continued for the whole day. By the end our faces ached from laughing so much! Olivia and James are just so much fun. I knew they would be from when they booked me over two years ago (thank you maid of honour Alex for putting out a plea on Twitter which I replied to!). We bonded over my phobia of taxidermy and never looked back!
They trusted me implicitly and had no issue walking through dirty carparks, climbing random fire escapes, going onto a hotel roof and laughing at me taking pictures of their reflections. They gave me free reign and together the most incredible Mr and Mrs shots were made.
Olivia’s endless enthusiasm for life is infectious. She is one of the warmest and friendliest people you will ever meet. She loves and laughs with her whole heart. She looked breathtakingly beautiful and I am not ashamed to say that I cried when I saw her in her dress for the first time (1 of 5 crying incidents I hasten to add!) James is incredibly kind and thoughtful and even found Olivia’s make up artist shortly before the wedding. It is abundantly clear to see how much love they have for each other and were completely giddy with excitement on their wedding day.
I could talk about these two for quite some time but something Olivia’s Dad (an incredibly talented artist, former photography teacher and one half of some seriously tear jerking photographs) said on the wedding morning really resonated with me. “The more you allow your photographer in the better photographs you get.” This couldn’t be more true. Your photographer has generally known you for the least amount of time but has to know you the best. Olivia and James and their amazing families and friends let me in from the second I met them. I became one of them (I even got in the Liver Bird jumping shot and subsequent “get the hell off of my camera” shot that I promised to include in this blog!) so much so that I could second guess all the of the beautiful moments, of which there were many. For for that I am eternally grateful.
